My Hands and sometimes my brain

At the end of the year it’s time to reflect about the lab staff. Without the staff the lab would have no life. I’m thankful to work with Marcel, Elon, and Philip.

Haven’t I told you how I deserve such good people? – Not? Ok, listen!

- In can ask him the latest geeks and quirks – he knows the answer and if not he tells me quick. Marcel did a hell of a job for the “inner DNS change”. He proved bullet taking qualities.

But there is no valid answer yet for the question “Are there any ideas about solving the Samba Problem (related to w7 and OSX 1.6)?”  The only thing I’d like to see is a discussion, nothing more for the moment.

Marcel we need to redo the SSM Stuff.

- He’s not a programmer, he’s not a Unix Geek, all he likes is his Windows, but still a very nice guy. He always offers a helping hand and takes on some unplanned tasks.

Elon, thanks for your fine, quiet and efficient way to work. I hope  I still have a small chance to make you wondering about the unknown….

- I could as him for any work, he would take on! I like the paper in from of the keyboard. There is always a plan. Unfortunately Philip doesn’t show them to me. Would be very interesting to learn from Philip how he’s proceeding.

Philip I would love to get more informaition about studies, classes and desires. I even would follow to the Znueni oder Zvieri Pausen to get the discussion.

Marcel, Elon and Philip thanks for the year 2009, you’re great.

Sonderzeichen in XML (z.B. SiteDefinitions oder ListDefinitions)

Gleich wie beim HTML müssen im XML Sonderzeichen speziell formatiert werden. Anbei eine Auflistung der am meist gebrauchten:

Feher beim Laden von Controlls

Problem:
Beim Entwickeln eines SharePoint-Webparts tritt beim Laden der Seite ein Fehler auf. Wird der Prozess mit dem Visual Studio angebunden um in Debug-Modus zu wechseln, kann kein Exception gefunden werden.

Ursache:
Bei dynamisch erzeugten Contolls wird keine eindeutige ID zugewiesen. So ist es möglich, dass zwei Controlls die gleiche ID haben. Dieser Fehler wird nicht durch den Compiler und im Debug-Modus sichtbar, sondern erst beim Laden der Seite.

Lösung :
Weisen Sie jedem Control eine Eindeutige ID zu. Am Besten funktioniert dies wie folgt:

Button cmdOK = new Button();
cmd.Text = "OK";
cmd.ID = Guid.NewGuid().ToString();
...
Controls.Add(cmdOK);
